Scan2Call (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a mobile application designed to help users quickly extract phone numbers, URLs, and other text from images using OCR technology, and take actions such as calling, messaging, opening WhatsApp, navigating to addresses, or copying/sharing information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Camera Access

The app uses your device's camera to scan printed text, photos, business cards, and screens.

  • We do not store, upload, or share any images or camera data.
  • All processing happens on your device.

1.2 Image & Text Processing (OCR)

When you scan using the camera or select an image:

  • Text extraction happens locally on your device.
  • No text, phone numbers, or images are uploaded to any server.
  • We do not track or store scanned content.

1.3 Contact & Phone Actions

When you choose to:

  • Call a number
  • Send SMS
  • Open WhatsApp
  • Share a contact
  • Copy a number
  • Open a website
  • Open an address in Maps

The app uses built-in phone functionalities.

We do not collect, store, or transmit these actions.

1.4 No Account, No Personal Data

Scan2Call does not require login.

We do not collect:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • Device identifiers
  • Location data

2. How We Use Information

We only use permissions to provide core features:

We do not use your information for advertising or analytics.

3. Data Storage

  • No data is stored on our servers (we don’t have servers).
  • All OCR processing happens locally on the device.
  • The app does not store scanned history unless the user saves it manually (feature depends on your app).

4. Third-Party Services

Scan2Call does not use:

  • Third-party analytics
  • Third-party advertising SDKs
  • Cloud storage
  • Tracking tools

If you later add Google Play Billing or Analytics, you should update this policy.

5. Children’s Privacy

Scan2Call is not targeted to children under age 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Security

Since we do not store or transmit any user data, the risk of disclosure is extremely low.

All processing is local to the device.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy for compliance or feature improvements.
